Second Public Hearing: Bylaw 010-15

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 22 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta, 2000, and amendments thereto, the Council of the City of Chestermere is considering Bylaw 010-15 being a bylaw to redesdesignate a 31.77 Ha (78.5 ac) site located at the south end of Chestermere Lake (Portions of NE 3-24-28-W4M; SE 3-24-28-W4M; NW 3-24-28-W4M; Area C on Plan 9310881; and Plan 8610075) from Urban Transition (UT) to Residential Single Detached (R-1); Residential Multi-Unit District (R-3); Low Rise Multi-Unit District (R-4); DC - Low Rise Multi-Unit District (R-4); Live-Work District (L-W); and Public Service (PS), as per the Land Use Bylaw 022-10, as amended.

A second Public Hearing will be held in the COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OF CHESTERMERE, on MONDAY June 19TH, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of considering verbal and/or (preferably) written representations from interested individuals or groups affected.

Written submissions should be received at the City of Chestermere Office by 4 p.m. Thursday June 8th, 2017 prior to the Public Hearing.  Note: Any submissions received after this time will be considered an oral submission and may be read into the record at the Public Hearing by the writer, or read on his or her behalf.

 Public Hearing: Bylaw 001-17

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 692 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta, 2000, and amendments thereto, the Council of the City of Chestermere is considering Bylaw 001-17 being a bylaw regarding the BridgePort Outline Plan and Land Use Re-designation in Chestermere.

A Public Hearing will be held in the COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OF CHESTERMERE, on MONDAY July 4th, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. for the purpose of considering verbal and/or written representations from interested individuals or groups affected by the proposed Land Use Bylaw Amendment.

OPEN HOUSE: Off-Site Levy Bylaws 010-17, 011-17, 012-17

Pursuant to and under the authority of Sections 648 and 649 of the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000, C. M-26 and amendments thereto, City of Chestermere Council is considering the proposal of Bylaw 010-17 being the Transportation Off-site Levy Bylaw, Bylaw 011-17 being the Stormwater Off-site Levy Bylaw, and Bylaw 012-17 being the Water & Sanitary Off-site Levy Bylaw, which will establish the manner in which off-site levies will be assessed in the City of Chestermere. 

City Staff and consultants will be hosting an Open House to provide information and answer questions in regards to the proposed bylaws. It is expected that the request for First Reading of the proposed bylaws will take place at the May 1, 2017 Council Meeting. Any written comments from interested individuals or groups affected by the proposed Off-site Levy bylaws should be received at the City of Chestermere Office by 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017.

A Public Hearing will be held in the COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OF CHESTERMERE, on MONDAY MARCH 20th, 2017; at 6:30 p.m. for the purpose of considering verbal and/or (preferably) written epresentations from interested individuals or groups affected by the proposed Land Use Bylaw Amendment.

Public Hearing: Bylaw 028-16

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 22 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta, 2000, and amendments thereto, the Council of the City of Chestermere is considering Bylaw 028-16 being a bylaw to amend the Land Use Bylaw (LUB) 022-10, as amended, to include a new District under the title Residential Planned Lot District (R-1P).  

 The proposed changes to the LUB 022-10, as amended, include: 
           1. Amendments to Part 4 – Development Applications;
           2. Amendments to Part 7 – General Regulations; and 
           3. Amendments to Part 10 – Land Use Districts; inserting Residential Planned Lot District
               (R-1P).   

A Public Hearing will be held in the COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OF CHESTERMERE, on MONDAY, MARCH 20, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of considering verbal and/or (preferably) written representations from interested individuals or groups affected.

Draft Land Use Bylaw General Amendment (Bylaw 010-16)

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 22 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta, 2000, and amendments thereto, the Council of the City of Chestermere is considering Bylaw 010-16, being a bylaw as a General Amendment to Land Use Bylaw 022-10, as amended.

The proposed changes to the LUB 022-10, as amended include, but are not limited to, the following items:
1. Amendments to Part 2 – Interpretation;
2. Amendments to Part 4 – Development Applications;
3. Amendments to Part 6 – Contravention and Enforcement;
4. Amendments to Part 7 – General Regulations;
5. Amendments to Part 10 – Land Use Districts; inserting Fill Placement as a discretionary use in a number of land use districts.
6. Amendments to Schedule ‘A’ – Land Use District Map;
   - Re-designating Lot 10, block 5, Plan 0013195 from Residential Single Detached
     District (R-1) to Public Service District (PS).
7. General and housekeeping amendments to Schedule ‘B’ Fees and Schedule ‘C’ 
Penalties, and Schedule ‘E’ – Maps showing lake lot area.

A Public Hearing will be held in the COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OF CHESTERMERE, on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. for the purpose of considering verbal and/or (preferably) written representations from interested individuals or groups affected.
