Christmas with Dignity

Help us give families a Christmas with Dignity

The Christmas with Dignity (CWD) program is an annual campaign that raises money for families in need in Chestermere and area. Money raised through donations is placed in a fund that is provided to temporarily help families pay for their basic needs.

Although ‘Christmas’ is in the name and the majority of the funds are used during the holiday season, donations can be accessed at any time throughout the year when families in the community need assistance.

Giving Back!

Please consider helping out your community all year round by:
- Contributing a monetary donation at City Hall (tax receipts are available for donations $0 and over)
- Providing or purchasing a silent auction item
- Volunteering your time
- Participating as a sponsor
- Donating new or like new items to the Children's Christmas store
- Donating Christmas gifts to a Christmas Hamper family

Christmas with Dignity Celebration 2016 - December 10, 2016 Summary

What a fantastic time we had at our Christmas with Dignity (CWD) Celebration event this past year! Our Committee was overwhelmed with how many guests we had in attendance to not only support our program, but help raise awareness of the need our community around supporting individuals and families with their basic needs. From our amazing musicians to jolly ol' Santa Claus paying our kiddos a visit and handing out treats- we thank you for your support and generosity!

This year, we had special initiatives occur throughout the community to raise awareness and money for the fund. A special highlight was Lifepath Wellness and Chestermere Dentistry making a huge contribution with hosting a toy and food drive for the Christmas Hamper program. Without this event, we would have not been able to have such wonderful gifts for our families and their children to open up during the holidays.

And, to our community stakeholders, our CWD Committee continue to be amazed by how much Chestermere and Area loves to give back and help out their neighbours. A community report will be made to share more highlights from the program. Thank you to our 107 shoppers who helped raised funds for the program. Thank you to residents who have donated, stopped by at the Celebration, and volunteered with the event this season.

Special thanks to everyone who made a splash for CWD 2016:
