Early Childhood Services - Registered Programs

"Play is the work of children" ~ Jean Piaget
Early childhood programs at the Kidz 1st Network Parent Link Centre all encompass play and movement, a natural brain stimulant and solidifies a child's learning of themselves and the world around them. Watch as they grow social skills, become stronger and more confident.

A day of play is never lost.

Parents are required to participate with their children in all programs and the playroom is a cell phone free zone.  In addition to parent education, early-childhood development and care, our staff are able to provide referrals to other community programs to ensure parents are getting what they need to be successful and raise confident and healthy children.

All programs listed below require pre-registration. Registration dates and details.

See our update page for program information.

How to Register for Programs

  1. Contact Community Services by phone (403) 207-7050 for registration information, or in person at the Community Services Office at the Chestermere Municipal Building (105 Marina Road, Chestermere).
  2. A program facilitator will contact you to confirm if you are in the class or not. If you have registered for a year round, drop-in program, you will not receive a confirmation call as it is open to everyone. Please note that families who have attended registered programs before will remain on the waitlist until the day before the program starts in order to give new families ample time to register.
  3. Due to the popularity of our programs, registration priority will be given to those who have not previously attended the program.

Register Early

On-going registration will continue after the first day of registration until programs begin or are filled. Register early, space is limited. You can also receive more information by email.

Note: If you are unable to attend programs you are registered in, for any reason, please contact us at (403) 207-7050, and let us know about your absence. Due to the popularity of our programs, if you are absent for two or more classes your spot will be given to someone on our waiting list.
