Range Road 282 Re-opened

road closure map

Update March 29, 2017: Range Road 282 has been reopened. Thanks for your patience as crews worked to address the drainage challenges.

Notice: Range Road 282, at the southeast end of Chestermere (see map below) will be closed until further notice due to flooding over the road. However, local access will remain open.

The large amount of snow we received this winter is melting very quickly. The frozen ground can’t absorb enough moisture which causes water to spill onto the road. Roads crews have been working to drain the area but need to close the road to address the flooding issues more quickly.

Updates will be posted as they become available.
