Community Services FAQs
Community Services – FAQs
1. Does CS have a list of available child care providers?
Yes, we have what we call the “Child Care Registry” which is a list of child care providers providing child care in their homes. We simply supply the list and make no recommendations/referrals. All arrangements are between you and the provider. We can email, fax or post the Child Care Registry, or you can drop by our office to pick one up. We also have a registry of potential Babysitters who have completed the Red Cross Babysitter Course. Call or email us for either of these resources.
2. Do you offer counseling services?
No. CS does not have counseling services but it is part of our mandate to refer inquiries to the nearest and most appropriate counselors for the person inquiring. We can also refer callers to crisis phone numbers/shelters when needed. As well, we provide support in way of our resource centre and lending library.
3. Do you know of anyone providing rides to and from medical appointments in the city?
Call Sherri at 403-207-7061 in CS (Community Services) to get details on how to obtain access to this service.
