• This family event kicks off with Alberta Dragon Boat demonstration
• Pre movie activities include, bouncers, face painters, carnival games, magic show, wii tent with guitar hero, and birthday cake.
• Cheer on John Morris our Olympic Gold Medalist as he unveils his official street sign!

Annual Chestermere Water Festival July 24, 2010
The Chestermere Water Festival is an annual community event celebrating summer on the lake. This year the festival will be on Saturday, July 24th at John Peake Park and Anniversary Park in Chestermere.

Chestermere Country Fair – September 18
The Chestermere Country Fair is the oldest ongoing annual event in our community. This event features agricultural displays and events, a red ribbon contest for baking, pickling and flower displays, wine and beer competitions, art displays, a farmers market, parade, gymkhana, petting zoos, vendor displays and more. Organizational Meeting – October
At this meeting, held in the fall of each year, Town Council appoints Volunteer members to the various Boards and Committees of the Town.
Chestermere’s Winter Festival – January 2011

Celebrating in Olympic Style!
The Chestermere Winterfest was the town’s kick off to the Olympic Torch Relay Celebration, January 19th, 2010. The 2010 Winterfest was held at Anniversary Park and the Chestermere Recreational Centre. Events included a Breakfast of Champions Pancake Breakfast, Ice Fishing Derby, Sleigh Rides on the Lake. The Arctic Village opened with the Polar Bear Dip, Olympic Torch Relay Maze, Snow Mountain, Fun Foam Block Building Area and fire pits to keep you toasty warm. New this year was the Daddy Dash and the Kid’s and K9’s Dash, and Go for the Gold Challenge!
The Frost Free Zone included a children crafts area, artisan market, a caricature artist, balloon artist and great entertainment.
The weekend ended with a bonfire, hot chocolate, luminary skating (or walking) and a very special fireworks display.
Olympic Torch Relay Community Celebration
Congratulations Chestermere, we really showed the country and the world our true community pride and spirit as we welcomed the Olympic Torch Relay! John Peake Park and the route along the torch relay was packed full of enthusiastic, fun, happy people of all ages! Thank you everyone who participated and made the Olympic Torch Relay through our town a truly special, once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
Country Connections Spring Festival, May 2011
Celebrate spring in Chestermere at the Country Connections Spring Festival. Activities include a KidZone, a rabbit show, a quilters guild show & sale, a best dressed pet contest, community garage sales, dunk tank fund raising, musical entertainment, an antique & new tractor display, a business expo, beer gardens, a slo-pitch tournament and a country supper and dance! Seniors Tea Party, June 8, 2010
The Town hosts this afternoon event every June in order to celebrate the seniors in our community. Seniors are invited to enjoy refreshments, win prizes, play games and visit with the Mayor and Council as well as each other. Contact Nancie for further information 403-207-7051.
Census 2010
A municipal census is conducted every year. Due to our extreme growth, the Town of Chestermere conducts a yearly census as these figures are used to calculate provincial grants for the Town and Community Services. This year’s census will take place in June. Census takers will be wearing visible Town of Chestermere identification. Link to Demographics
