Transportation
Air Services
The Calgary International Airport is a 25km drive from Chestermere and provides international cargo & passenger carriers and specializes in a range of services including receiving, transferring, storing, and distributing air, rail and highway cargo both domestically and internationally.
Bus Service
Commuter services are available from Cardinal Coach Lines between Chestermere and downtown Calgary from Monday through Friday with the exception of holidays.
Highways
Chestermere is served by Highway 1A which is also referred to in Calgary as 17 Avenue S.E. The Trans Canada Highway is adjacent to the Town of Chestermere. It takes approximately 20 minutes to commute from Chestermere to Calgary’s downtown core.

Lake Weeds
The lake weeds are harvested during the months of July and August. The town would like to thank the lakefront owners who take the time and immense effort to collect weeds along their lakeshore frontage. Weeds are being collected daily from road curbside locations by the department. Click here for more information.
