A wonderful way for Chestermere families to celebrate the birth of children born in 2019
The location of the 2019 Birth Forest will be along the canal pathway off of Rainbow Road. Parking is available along Rainbow Falls Gate.
The tree planting event will be held on:
National Tree Day: Wednesday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m.
Participants pay a $40.00 fee which helps, in part, to pay for the small trees that are purchased from a local tree nursery. This is a wonderful way for Chestermere families to celebrate the birth of children born over the past year. The application form along with payment can be dropped off at City Hall
(Mon – Fri, 8:30am – 4:30pm) or the Public Works Building by cheque or cash in the exact amount (Mon – Fri, 7:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 4:30pm).
There will be a maximum of 25 trees planted so please get your applications in early to reserve your tree!
The deadline for applications is Sept. 14 to allow time to order trees and prepare the site.
For more information, please call the Parks Department at (403) 207-2807 or e-mail.
Every year, the Streetscape Committee, along with the City of Chestermere, plants trees in September to recognize those children born to families living within Chestermere.
Thank you to the 22 families who participated in the 2018 Birth Forest planting. There is no better way to help save the environment than by planting a tree. You can do your part by honouring your child with a tree in our 2019 Birth Forest.
