New Online Service for Contractors and Builders
We're delighted to announce a new and more efficient way of applying for permits and requesting Safety Codes inspections for our builders and contractors.
The
Chestermere Development Approval System (CDAS) Online Permit Application and Inspection request, also known as
CDAS E-Permits, is a web-based expansion of our services. With its latest enhancement, the registered users may apply for their utility permit (electrical, gas and plumbing), check the status of their active applications and request all inspections (building, electrical, gas and plumbing) online.
- Who can register online? Certified contractors with a valid Business License with the City of Chestermere.
- How to register? Bring the completed registration form together with the proof of master certification and journeyman number to the Community Growth & Infrastructure desk at the Municipal Office. Our business hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on statutory holidays.
- How to access the online service? After registration has been completed, the new user will receive an e-mail with the link to the CDAS online system with instructions on how to log-in.
- Is there a fee to register? Registration is free.
- Can I complete a building permit application online? Please stay tuned for the addition of building permit online applications.
- Can I still submit my utility permit applications via fax or e-mail? Yes. We can still accept applications submitted via fax or e-mail, but we strongly encourage our contractors to use this service.
