Chestermere, AB – Earlier this year, the City conducted a survey about adult fitness to help us plan for the new Civic Recreation Centre.
And now we are conducting Part 2 of that survey!
Over the next few weeks, we will reach out to adults between the ages of 64-75 to learn more about how we can better serve seniors at the new facility.
LeisurePlan International Inc., a recreation and fitness consultation firm, will be continuing their work by administering the next phase of this phone survey.
Here are a few important things to know:
- Participants will be randomly selected (each adult resident between the ages of 64-75 is equally likely to be contacted), to ensure a statistically valid and representative sample of seniors in Chestermere.
- Residents will be interviewed over the telephone regarding their present and future participation in recreation, and fitness programs and activities.
- Each interview will take approximately ten minutes to complete.
If you are one of the randomly selected older adult residents contacted to participate in the survey, please take the time to respond. Your responses will be kept strictly confidential.
Thanks in advance for your participation if contacted!
Your feedback as part of the survey will assist in the planning and provision of recreation services by the City of Chestermere.
More Engagement with Seniors to Come!
The City will also be engaging agencies and organizations that serve seniors through additional targeted engagement sessions over the next few weeks. These sessions will help the City to identify service gaps for seniors in recreation and fitness and identify how those needs can be addressed at the new Civic Recreation Centre. Organizations will be contacted directly to participate.
