On Saturday, August 14, come and enjoy the sounds of summer with a free music festival by the shores of Chestermere Lake!
The fun will start even before the music as visitors can check out the marketplace or the Chestermere Library’s annual book sale starting at 11am. The children’s pavilion (featuring family entertainment) begins at 12 p.m., and wagon rides around the park get underway at noon.
Bands will hit the stage at 1 p.m. and will showcase a little bit of country, a little bit of rock-n-roll, a fantastic Indigenous performance, and a throwback to the oldies!
Schedule of Musical Performances
1:00 p.m. Get your 50’s and 60’s kick with the band Fender Bender, playing party hits from the era’s biggest stars.
3:15 p.m. Enjoy a performance from the Indigenous Arts Company, Wild Mint Arts.
4:00 p.m. Country singer Devin Cooper will hit the stage with his original and gritty take on country music.
5:15 p.m. The Blenders, led by local Chestermere musician Blair Supple, will delight music fans.
6:30 p.m. Catch Canadian Idol alum and country singer Will Randall.
7:45 p.m. Experience a little bit of rock-n-roll with Rocky Mountain Maniacs
9:00 p.m. Don’t miss the festival’s headliner, Canadian country recording artist, Lori Kole!
Hungry music fans can grab something delicious from one of the participating food trucks starting at 12 p.m. and stay for evening fireworks to finish off the night at 10:30 p.m.
“Chestermere Music Fest is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together as a community for the first time in a long while. We welcome visitors to come listen to excellent live music next to a beautiful lake setting and discover what Chestermere has to offer,” says Nancie Huneault, City of Chestermere Culture and Special Events Planner.
