Notice of Public Hearing - Bylaw 006-23
Proposed Amendment to the Off-site Levy Bylaw
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 648 of the Municipal Government Act, the Council of the City of Chestermere is considering Bylaw 006-23 Off-site Levy Bylaw to repeal and replace Bylaw 017-22 Off-site Levy Bylaw. A public hearing will be held on TUESDAY, May 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. during the regular meeting of Council for the below-proposed bylaw.
The Public Hearings is scheduled during regular meeting of Council, visit chestermere.ca/agendas where links to watch the live stream will be posted on the day of the meeting.
Members of the public who wish to provide verbal representation through live teleconferencing during the Public Hearing or written feedback must fill out the form at chestermere.ca/feedback. Written submissions may also be submitted by emailing publichearing@chestermere.ca with your name, address, phone number, which bylaw you are speaking to and whether you are in favour or opposed. Requests for verbal representation must be made by Tuesday, May 16th, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. The City will accept written submissions until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15th, 2023.
The proposed Off-Site Levy Bylaw includes:
- A new category for Fire for future fire facilities required by growth of our municipality.
- Updated Levy Rates.
- Other minor amendments throughout the Off-Site Levy document per the agenda package of the May 2, 2023, Regular Council Meeting.
