At the March 20th Council Meeting, the City’s Corporate Business Plan was presented and accepted. As a key document in the strategic planning cycle, the Corporate Business Plan outlines the tasks and budgeted initiatives Administration plans to undertake to move towards achieving the goals set out in the Strategic Plan.
“We are pleased to have ourCorporate Business Plan in place for the next two years,” says Dr. RandyPatrick, the City’s Chief Administrative Officer. “Council has set a vision forthe community, and this plan describes the short term steps we are taking toget there.”
Tasks and goals outlined in the planinclude infrastructure and amenity improvements, service improvements, thepursuit of partnership opportunities, efforts to increase the City’snon-residential tax base, park improvements, recreation facility planning,organizational improvements, and internal staff capacity development.
As the City continues to grow anddevelop, the plan helps ensure that all departments are undertaking projectsthat contribute to Council’s long term goals in a meaningful way.
