Incident in Chestermere Update

incident update

Earlier this morning, Chestermere RCMP responded to an incident at a home in West Chestermere.

The following schools were locked down as a precaution.

Chestermere Lake Middle School
Our Lady of Wisdom
Rainbow Creek Elementary

The lockdowns have now been lifted and schools have resumed normal operations. There is no threat to the community.

Police are investigating the incident. Community Peace Officers, Chestermere Fire Services and Alberta Health Services are also on scene of the incident.

More information will be provided shortly by the RCMP.
