One of the things visitors most often mention about Chestermere is how beautiful it is. To help keep it that way, the City invites you to participate in PITCH-IN Week April 22-29.
“Many Chestermere residents take a great deal of time to care for their own spaces and their neighbourhoods,” says Mayor Marshall Chalmers. “During PITCH-IN Week, we invite all residents, organizations and businesses to join in this community spring clean-up.”
The PITCH-IN Week program is a national campaign sponsored by Tim Hortons. It is the largest environmental improvement campaign in Canada and this will be the City of Chestermere’s fourth annual clean-up.
How You Can Participate:
Organizations, neighbourhoods, schools, and individuals are encouraged to sign-up to clean up litter on their property, at a local park or neighbourhood.
You can pick the date and time that works best for your organization between April 22nd and 29th and the City will supply a safety orientation, tools, garbage bags and disposable gloves (on a first come first serve basis).
