Family Literacy Challenge

For the month of June the Parent & Caregiver Support Services is partnering with the Chestermere Public Library, and Rocky View Schools Adult Learning to offer a Family Literacy Challenge! Check our weekly Facebook post (@Chestermerepcss) every Monday morning for the literacy challenge, and how to enter. Not on social media? Not to worry, just send us an email to and we will send you the details!

Week 1 Literacy Challenge

Free, Online Developmental Check-Ups with Ages & Stages

Developmental Screening Month

We are focusing on Developmental Screening for the month of June! Complete a free, online developmental screening for your child (ages 1 month to 5.5 years of age) with the Ages & Stages Questionnaires, and check out our Facebook page for daily posts featuring developmental resources, activities, and other helpful information for parents.

Click here to complete an ASQ-3 to find out how your child is developing in the following areas: Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Communication, Personal-Social, and Problem-Solving skills.

Click here to complete an ASQ-SE2 which focuses on your child’s social-emotional development.

Our team of Caregiver Support Facilitators will be in touch within 2 business days to share your child’s ASQ scores, which will include resources, developmentally appropriate learning activities for you to try with your child, and other helpful parenting information you may be interested in.

Our team of Caregiver Support Facilitators provides over the phone support? Parents and caregivers are welcome to call us Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 4:30pm, to connect with a team member. Whether it’s a question about your child’s sleep, or you’re needing strategies to keep your kids from fighting, we will be here to help you.
