4. What are my responsibilities for snow removal?

As per our Snow Removal Bylaw, you are responsible to clear the snow from the sidewalks running past your property within 48 hours of snowfall. Please remember that you may not shovel snow onto the road. Snow Removal Bylaw

5. How do I pay my taxes?

You can pay in person at the Municipal Office, at your bank or you can set up preauthorized payments. Learn more about the Tax Installment Payment Program on the TIPPs webpage.

6. Is there an off-leash dog park in Chestermere?

Yes. The off-leash areas is at the north end of the lake and starts in front of the Library. Please remember that you still need to pick up after your dog in the off-leash area. Map of off-leash area

7. Do I have to pay to use the lake?

No. Residents can launch boats for free but you need to apply for a boat decal. You will need to fill out an application form, show proof of residency and present your boat licence permit before you will be issued a decal. Please note that you use the lake at your own risk. 8. How do I pay my utility bill?

The City issues utility bills for water, wastewater (sewage), garbage & recycling services every month. You can pay through pre-authorized payments, through online/telephone banking, mail or credit card online. Visit our utilities billing & account page to learn more.

9. If I want to renovate my house, do I need a permit?

Yes. Permits are issued through the Development Services Department. Visit their webpage to learn more about the permits you will need to do any construction on your home.
