Volunteers are the backbone of all events. Through your interaction with players, fans, venue staff, event management staff and sponsors, you are the faces of the event and your assistance and contributions are invaluable.
Held annually since 2001-2002, the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling is an elite series of men's and women's curling bonspiels featuring the world's top-ranked teams. Owned and operated by Sportsnet, the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling events are part of the annual World Curling Tour and consistently present the strongest fields in curling. The Boost National event invites the top 15 men's and women's teams in the world to compete for the title.
We are looking to recruit 120 volunteers.
The minimum age for volunteering is 15 years. The deadline for volunteer applications is October 1, 2020.
As this event is rush seating, ushers and other volunteers will not be directing people to specific seats but rather helping people find open seats.
Please read the following information regarding volunteer opportunities. Together, we will make this a memorable event for the curlers, fans and the community.
If you are planning to volunteer with a friend or family member and would like to be considered to volunteer together, please list their first and last name here. Please note that they will need to complete their own application form.
Please indicate the position(s) for which you are interested in volunteering. Please note that volunteers must have working knowledge of the positions which they select.
Please indicate your availability to volunteer for the event. A draw schedule will be confirmed in September 2020.
As a thank you for your time and support, each volunteer will receive a Goldline jacket. A jacket kit will be available for fitting at a future date. In the meantime, please provide an approximate jacket size.
First Aid certification is not required for volunteers, but knowing which volunteers have First Aid will help ensure a safe event.
Volunteers will be expected to wear their volunteer jackets during each shift. For on-ice volunteers, black pants are mandatory for all televised games and preferred for non-televised games.
Nice jeans (no rips etc.) are acceptable for all other volunteers, if black pants are not available.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns we can address for you.
